Developer, pixel artist & project lead

Hey, I'm Skye! I'm a multi-disciplinary creative based in the UK. I specialise in UGC-related projects, and have extensive experience working with Minecraft in particular. In my every-day life, I'm training to be a theatre technician and play a little bit too much Celeste and Stardew Valley.

I started working in the UGC space in 2021, building my own small Minecraft projects from scratch, and worked my way up to here! I now work with major studios to help bring their ideas to life.

As part of the launch of Stellar Studios, I helped lead the development of "The Invasion". Based in a custom dystopian city map, players are split into Humans and Aliens must capture points around the city to maintain control. Each race has its own kit with unique perks, and random world events make it an exciting experience for all.

For this project, I was in charge of art & design, working on the logo & branding, all UI elements, eight custom GUI elements, custom aligned HUD, a plethora of icons and buttons and much more. Additionally, I composed & produced the original soundtrack for the game ("Ground Zero").

In February 2024, in collaboration with bumpyJake, I helped produce CoupleCraft Showdown: a gameshow-style event for Valentines' Day where 10 pairs of content creators partook in minigames to put their companionship and communication to the test. In the end, 30 content creators took part and the event itself was a smooth and bug-free experience.

As a developer and pixel artist, I was in charge of all 2D assets, design for the various UI elements, and implementing a "bonus round" minigame. I also helped with QA testing and general polish.

For Christmas 2023, I worked again with bumpyJake, to produce his annual Christmas Party. In this event, over 100 content creators competed in 6 rounds of games to decide the ultimate winner. This was, as always, a very fun event to produce, and my first working with Jake on this scale.

For this event, I was in charge of designing 2D assets, including inventory, menu and in-game UI elements, logos and icons for minigames & system messages, as well as general QA testing and polish.

A lot of my current projects are still under wraps, so
watch this space! Cool stuff coming 🚀

why should you work with me?

I'm a dedicated, committed and knowledgeable professional with 3 years of UGC expertise. Whether your project is looking for a new addition to an experienced team, or someone to build it up from scratch, I can do it all. My priority is the end product, and creating a result you're happy with, not getting to payday.

You can ask Skye for something one minute, and the next it'll appear out of thin air! She's one of the most criminally underrated pixel artists in the community.

Here's what I can do for you...

  • ⏤ code reviews & feedback ✉️ If you'd like me to join your existing project, I'm happy to give my own feedback on your code strategies & tech stack based on my industry expertise.

Anything from full-scale art pieces to little elements of polish

who have i worked with?

Since 2020, I've had the chance to work or be affiliated with so many amazing studios and agencies including: EVNT, Stellar Studios, Tiny Embers, Minehub, SwagSMP, Ziemia, The Arke, Soul Realms, ClubChunk, Spellbrook, Bundle Group and so many more - there's even a few I'm not allowed to talk about just yet! In these roles, I've worked as a community manager, moderator, developer, pixel artist, sound designer, copywriter, composer, and a social media manager, so I'm very flexible! 💼

I'm always happy to work on entirely new projects as well! I have experience managing teams of over 20 people across multiple departments, as well as marketing, community management and more. frequently asked questions

Got a question that isn't here? Shoot me a message on any of my socials and I'd be happy to answer.

  • For my pixel art, I use Aseprite and Blockbench for all my work. When developing, IntelliJ IDEA is my go-to tool, or Visual Studio Code for smaller projects. My core sound design/music toolkit is either Audacity or Ableton Live 11 Standard.
  • Discord will get you the fastest response, but I will often also respond on Twitter within 24 hours.
  • As of March 26th 2024, my commissions are limited due to issues in my personal life - I am only working on projects for close friends currently. Feel free to check with me on this though, that might have changed!
  • In most cases, yes! You have ownership of the intellectual property, and a perpetual license to use and re-use it in any other projects. If you're not sure or if a special circumstance occurs, we can discuss that separately and reach an agreement.
  • The projects I work on tend to be ones I am very passionate about, so my delivery of your vision is more important to me than monetary gain. But, as a general rule, I tend to charge around £10/$15 per hour, and slightly less for larger pieces or batch orders - this is not set in stone, and we can 100% negotiate this!
  • No. The work I do isn't the kind that warrants a refund - instead, what you pay includes infinite maintenance/revisions, and the time and effort needed to get your intended result. If you chargeback/request a refund after your services have been provided, I will not continue working with you.

unmatched quality, speed and flexibility

I'm ready and raring to take your UGC project to the next level.
